If none of the signal bulbs or indicators work the most likely suspect is the fuse ( usually under the dash drivers side or behind a panel at the end of the instrument panel which can be reached when the door is open) but possibly also in the "power distribution block" located under the hood.
Which Fuse?
Invest in a test light 5-10 $ at your local parts store. Using the test light check both sides of each fuse with the ignition on and the headlights on, the fuse which only lights the test light on one side is the bad one. I do not recommend the "pull and peer" method because I have encountered fuses which were physically broken but not visibly blown.
The next likely suspect is the flasher module - it may be a cylinder or cube about 1 to 1 1/2 inches on a side and it may be located on the fuse block in/under the dash or it may be mounted separately just about anywhere under the instrument panel - it may help to have Autozone or for that matter any parts store show you what it looks like and where it is located.
If neither of these are responsible the problem is either in the turn signal switch assembly, the hazard switch if separate from the TS assembly or the wiring or connectors. If this is the case it requires a knowledge of the wiring and a set of diagrams and proper test equipment to diagnose.

fuse or bad wiring... check the fuse in your glove compartment, under the dash or under the hood next to the motor... these are the most likely spots for fuse boxes... depends on make and model of car.

Since neither works, chances are it's a fuse, or the flasher unit itself has failed.

Probably a blown fuse or bulb blow out.
Find a man/mechanic to take a look at it.

Check the 'blinker' or flasher relay under the dash.
