What is a good indoor dog?
Looking for small and non-yappy, plus good with kids. Leaning toward a Shizhu or mix of that breed. What are some other small dogs that would be good options?

Pugs!! They're sweet, quiet, compatible with kids, and very loyal. They're a little hard to housebreak though.

I agree with pugs! I have 2 pugs and they are great indoors, even better if you have a doggie door :) I also have 2 young children and my pugs and kids get along great - even when the children are unintentionally too rough. The kids also love the funny sounds one of my pugs make - and they are funny. Pugs and kids both love to play and snuggle - great match. A friend of mine also has a Shizhu and her Shizhu does great with my kids, btw.

A Sheltie! My old Sheltie was the best dog Ive ever had. And we got her when I was about 2, she was sweet and gentlel. Its in there nature. And there not that big and really nice to cuddle with. Plus there really smart, and loyal. Heres more information about them, they really are a great addition to a family with kids.
