Are the pets of vegetarian/vegans allowed to eat meat?
If you are a vegetarian/vegan and have a puppy or another animal is it allowed to eat meat? What kind of vegetables do dogs and cats like to eat?

Yes he is. He's fed a raw prey model diet, which consists of meat, organ, and bone. I wouldn't own a carnivorous pet to make it vegetarian or vegan. My dog like frozen peas and carrots as a treat but, won't eat many.
Good God, some people are just that ''challenged.'' They don't have a single rational bone in their skull. and they are running rampant in this country. Ignorance and common sense is not too common in this veg forum. Cats will lose sight and than die eventually if they are refrained from eating meat. And i don't care if these ''vegan'' cat food companies put in synthetic taurine. That is not the only nutrient cats need to remain healthy and have a long life-span, The same goes for dogs. Don you think that just because most of the dogs are domesticated they don't have predator instincts and meat-derived diet? They must think wolves and foxes eat blueberries and lentils in the woods and the wild.
As always, people attack what they do not understand and what they couldn't manage to do themselves. It's just their pathetic attempt to convince themselves they're doing the right thing. Yes, there are too many animals in the world, but that's because we overbreed them for meat! Some idiots may think animals are here purely for food, but I believe they're here for us to learn from and enjoy.
Cats and dogs are primarily carnivores in their natural state. Dry commercial pet food can be meat free providing essential nutrients are included in the formula. These are bases on grains rather than vegetables.
