I has a tooth removed 5 days ago?

and the blot, I think is coming out. I woke and there was what seemed like a clot right on my tongue. I was having EXTREME pain yesterday and the extraction site hurts today, but as badly. What could this be?

I also had a tooth out (lower molar) on Friday, and though it seems to be healing ok (grey / white-ish film / jelly covering the hole) I am so paranoid about DRY SOCKET. This is where the clot falls out and therefore air / food / debris / bacteria goes right down through the hole to your jaw bone socket. This needs to be dealt with by a dentist who will just pack the hole with a moss-y type medication, it may need to be done more than once. Dry socket is VERY painful (worse than an abscess apparently, and I would rather give birth again than have one of those again!) so I am really worried about this dry socket. Painkillers don't really help, the hole needs to be plugged.

So, if you can see a big gaping hole, you may have lost your clot, and need to get to a dentist asap! Hope you (and I!) are ok, keep me posted, you're a couple of days ahead of me!!

Probably the gum got infected. Use some antibacterial mouthwash and use a cotton swab on you gum to prevent any more bleeding. Call your dentist's office if, the pain and bleeding continues.

It could of.
You may have a dry socket. This leaves you in alot of pain.
There's not much you can od about it now if you have.
Just take paracateamol(it helps alot) and just try and cope really.
