You should be able to take up to 800 mgs of Motrin(Ibuprofen) AND 500 mgs of Tylenol(Acetaminophen) together without any problems as long as you have no preexisting conditions(such as kidney disease) up to every 8 hours. Excedrin has both Tylenol and Aspirin in it(usually along with caffeine, differing strengths depending on the dose(Extra strength versus regular). Tylenol and Motrin work in different ways so taking the two together is usually fine as long as you don't exceed the maximum dose allowed for each. You should NOT take Tylenol and Excedrin together as they both contain Acetaminophen(active ingredient).
