My zucchini have odd spiral scratches on them, what is the culprit?

It happens when you pick them. Zucchini plants have small spikey things on them and when you go to pick them you usually twist them and the spikey things scratch the veggie. Try cuttig the veggies off with a pair of gardening shears.
