why do I have to keep selecting the folder from my flash drive when saving multiple files?

I have to go through the whole process of selecting the flash drive then 5 folders to save a file. I use to only do this step once then it would automatically take me to the exact folder next time. Why is it doing this now? I don't wanna keep going and selecting the folders every time.

When I am saving files from internet to my flash drive I have to keep selecting the flash drive then few folders to get to the right one.I only use to do that once in the beginning then every time I clicked save it would automatically open the folder. I didn't have to select everything all over again. I have heard sometime it does that when you delete the history but I didn't delete it. How do I fix this problem so I don't have to constantly select the flash drive and then the right folder? Most of the times I save mulitple files from internet to one folder and its annoying to keep clicking until you get to the right folder!

Why don't you open the flash drive in one window and navigate to the desired destination folder.

Then open a separate window to get at the source files. You can just select the files in the source window and drag them to the destination folder on the flash drive. I assume that you know that you can select multiple files by holding down the control key.

This is on Windows, I hope. I don't know about Mac, but it should be similar.
