I am about to upgrade to a DS system and to a pokemon SS HG and Platinum. I know eBay has many bootlegged versions of the advance systems and can identify the quickly. So what are tells of a bootlegged DS versions

Unfortunately you cant really tell until you have the game in your hand and even then it can be tough. Google the question and there are a few websites out there that will help you to tell. The main one for me is when you buy a game it has a code printed on the back of the cartridge, fake ones dont have this code.

I agree with the guy above... If he is above? Idk but the guy that said buy from amazon would be right. eBay can be good, but idk if you should buy a DS from there. For something as big as that, Amazon would be your best bet for a low price. Also, Walmart has good bundles and free shipping, so you might be able to get it all there, and of course there's best buy, gamestop, etc.

just go to gamespot and get a used one there, its much safer and more reliable
(also, platinum is a much better game then HG SS in my opinion. its harder, better pokemon, better starters, better .... alot more stuff. only thing about HG and SS is Red the pokemon master)
