My wife and I just book a Princess cruise. We've not yet paid for it. Is anything negotiable? Can they come down on the price or throw a few extras in to sweeten the deal?

There is no bargaining with Princess. Keep an eye on the prices. If it drops you can ask to have your price lowered. With a travel agent they get about 15% of the price and may possibly bargain. It is usually with a shipboard credit that they may get discounted.
Once you have gone on a cruise with Princess they will send you periodic offers that are much lower than the published rate, sometimes 1/2 price.

If you booked directly though Princess, they usually do not bargain much at all. But if you booked this through a travel agent, then she can not only find you the best deal, but often they throw in perks such as on-board credit or even perhaps a bottle of wine thrown in for good measure. I have booked 11 Princess cruises and after all these years, I found the best way to book is with a regular travel agent that specializes in cruise vacations.

Once you book a cruise, the price is set. Any negotiating is done by good travel agents prior to booking.
