how do you find a friends face book profile?

I get so many unwanted friends now. I would like to eliminate some of them. Face book says go to their profile and delete them. I can't get to their profile.

type the name of ur friend in the search box then i think a list of names would come up n u press that name u want to so that u can go to there profile n delete them

type there name into the search box, then if they are a friend still then go on there profile and go to the button of the profile and click delete, just look for the delete button on the profile.
