taking the same explosives, placing one in a position where it would for conversation sake be near the ground (12 inches) and pointed up and out a 45% angle. The opposing wave would be coming at an open atmospheric or direct onset. Would the angled wave up and out, disrupt the straight line wave?

waves do not collide like particles BUT shock waves are highly compressed regions where the particles are very dense

certainly the pattern of each would be disrupted

check out the concept of "reactive armor" where explosives on the surface of a tank ignite as the blast of a shaped charge approaches
