Since when does Yahoo delete lagitiment questions?
Someone asked a simple question. How does one become a Wiccan. Wiccan is a polytheistic religion and the question was not against community guidelines. I wonder WHY is Yahoo deleting this when it isn't against the guideline? Clearly they are showing religious intolerance by doing so.

Spell check is not offered for the question of titles. And the question has nothing to do with spelling.

evie: It had 4 answers and would have had mine if someone hadn't deleted it while I was typing.

It was deleted the same day I posted this question.

Sorry you feel that way Darth, I usually answer ligit questions with ligit answers. I prefer to teach rather than to ridicule.

Tried asking before but always got a copy paste answer "It is against the community rules" with a link to the site. No matter how much it is protested that is the same pat answer I have gotten!

It's not just questions about Wicca, but others I have seen. Those who say it can be changed by challenging must not have tried. I have and have NEVER been reinstated even when I proved that I was not violating the guide lines. I don't always ask or answer just Wicca. I ask and answer others as well.

To Geezah. If you didn't or don't want a response, don't post or send emails to the poster. Your attitude goes against communities I don't care IF you ARE a Priest of a Christian Demon or not. Hope you days are full of happiness since you are spreading hate.

It was probably deleted because someone reported it as insulting, or one of the other reasons that are person opinion and not like doesn't follow q & format. It seems to be happening a lot recently
Secondly, you're giving Yahoo too much credit... it's not like people are sitting there evaluating questions and deleting only Wiccan ones all day.
The community can report questions. If a question gets a certain amount of reports, it automatically deletes and send a violation notice.
If the person truly did not violate community guidelines, the poster can send an appeal and the question can be returned to the forum if no violation was committed.
There isn't a team of administrators here who take a personal look at each and every reported question right away. They don't have time or the resources for that. Otherwise, they couldn't keep this site free. Questions get removed based on how many people report them and what level of reporting credibility those people have.
If this person's question really wasn't in violation, then they can appeal. THEN they take a look at it. If it looks legitimate (note the spelling) then the answer gets put back and the people who reported it lose credibility. But if it got into a chat or rant, then most likely it was against the rules anyway.
Regardless, I don't know why people ask "How do I become a Wiccan" in the first place. Aside from the fact that the question has already been answered here thousands of times, there are plenty of better places to go for information on Wicca.
By the way, try making use of the built-in spelling checker here.
they some times delete for reasons known only to them I think I once asked a question, in Biology about brown adipose tissue percentages in Boreal people. That's percentage of dark fat tissue in people who live at the poles. I wanted to know if the increase in Boreal climates was genetic or if it occurred in anyone who lived there long enough. that was deleted--I would like to say I don't know why, but I'm fairly certain someone with no knowledge of the subject of terms assumed it was a question about race. it absolutely was not, but instead of asking or finding out, it was deleted. They can be king of Biased, For example I'm sure they often delete questions about Nigeria because of the spelling, or even Thistle seed by it's other name. Very weird, but I'm glad some one else has experienced this, I think they just key on words or the complaints of people who don't understand the questions.
I have appealed several things and was told too bad, violation. I think that part of Yahoo is broken.
It's not about Yahoo being religiously intolerant. Grow up.
It has to do with stupid people wrongfully reporting the question. End of story. Challenge the deletion. At that point a real person will look at it and correct the mistake, rather than the automatic deletion that happened thanks to the report trolls.
