California Earthquakes have diminished in numbers?

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqscanv/

Usually there are more than 600 earthquakes listed on this web page.
However, the number of earthquakes has dropped to just over 400 for the past couple of weeks.

Does this indicate that there is energy building up along the fault lines to make one really big one soon?

if you take a look at history since 1900 you will see it goes in about 5 year spurts. for the first couple or 3 years the numbers will be down then{thats the build up period then ca will get hit and the rest of the world to follow the last two or 3 years will be basically tremor after tremor . i dunno any better way to explain your question good luck gerald
