I have a Belkin iPod adapter for my car and when I put my iPod touch in it, it just pops up saying "charging for this application is not supported" and it doesn't work. It works for my brothers nano though and I was wondering why this is?
but not only does it not charge, it doesn't play

i also have the same problem with mine. the ipod is very "picky" with what it can charge with. the hardware you have to plug it into has to be realativly new and also try to get something that apple makes or something that after further research from the internet will work. for example my old ihome does not charge my ipod touch, but will play music from it. but my newer one does both.
