Are you tired of vague questions on YA? (NO year, make, model)?

I am tired of asking people to add details to their questions and have found a website that I like a little more than Yahoo Answers for automotive help.
There are not as many members, so some questions go unanswered for now.

However, if you like answering automotive repair questions with year, make and model listed, perhaps you would find this site more answerer friendly.
I do.

Mr Know it all,
I don't have a lot to offer to most of the questions. I am a heavy truck mechanic, and to some degree I do some work on cars.

I do agree that most of the people who ask questions provide so little information to work with. I have to wonder if they are serious. Then I look to see how many questions they have asked or answered in the past.

Once I have established the question is serious, I take into consideration that some of these people really know nothing about what they are driving. We assume most people have a degree of knowledge about cars, when in fact they simply put gas into them and drive. A good example might be my 27 year old daughter. The other day she called and said her car turns off when she is driving it. Luckily I know what she drives and how many miles it has. But if she had posted it on here, she might have simply said "my car turns off. Why?" You would have no way of knowing it is a Mazda 6 with a V6, with an intermittent stalling concern.

I am not on here as frequently as most of you guys. I see some of you have a level 7 rating. I admire your dedication to this forum. I will look into the other website and see what I can offer.

on some levels i do agree. but with some of the questions that we see in here, the systems have not changed a great deal with manufacturer.

Yes I am tired of such thoughtlessness & inconsideration @ YA, and YA Mods should work to stop it.
