Why do my teeth hurt?

I had all four wisdom teeth taken out quite awhile ago. Every once in awhile, my two lower teeth closest to where the wisdom teeth were, start to feel uncomfortable. When I run my tongue over them, it feels like they are sharp and pointing up, almost like a dinosaur tooth or something. Today, I felt the lower right tooth area with my finger and the bone that sticks out toward the teeth feels tender and like it has a sore over it. The other side feels find but still hurts. Any ideas what this is? It only happens 3-4 times a year and seems to go away after 3-7 days.

I have had 11 teeth removed (so far) n the only ones that actually hurt are where my wisdom teeth were. 1st off yes, u can have phantom pains in ur mouth.... 2nd,... if some teeth r uncomfortable I take a calcium pill w/ vitamin d n that will eliminate the uncomforablness w/in the hr. If that's the case it's ur body searching 4 calcium n the 1st place it pulls from is ur teeth n bones.... Now if they feel tendar or hurts.... (If it's the tooth it could be not enough calcium, cavity, or nerve exposure.... Now if it's where the tooth was usually phantom pains r uncomfortable groos feelings but if it hurts it ok.... It's probably just a callus type deal. Ur mouth was meant to bite, grind & chew food w/ hard teeth not soft gums....so if u like me have them hurt just a few days a yr 4 a few days u could of eaten something hard or tough n kinda like put a callus on the part of the gum during the chewing process causing it to get tight n be sore.... It's ok.... (I think) I have had this 4 11 yrs... & as u stated it is uncomfortable but it will treat itself n go away!!! Hope u feel better soon!!!
