I nursed my son until he was about 14 months old. He is not 21 months and I am 30 weeks pregnant with baby #2. Since it will be almost a year since I nursed will it be like it was when I nursed my son? Sore? Tender? etc...Or are my nipples/breast more "prepared" since it was less thana year ago I nursed him? I would appreciate any feedback on how nursing went the 2nd time around for you. Thanks!

I did find it a lot easier the second time around. With my oldest we had a lot of trouble getting him to latch after birth and I stressed myself out a lot. He was syringe fed for a few days after trying to get him to latch. It hurt for weeks then one day it didn't. With my second son it never hurt at all. I think it helped that we had an idea of what to do but also instictively he seemed to have a better latch from the start.
It was a little easier for me the 2nd time because I knew what I was doing. However, my nipples did go back to the way they were before so I had a lot of the same issues again I just knew how to deal with it better.
It was easier for me the second time around. You have a better idea of positioning and whether or not they are latched which is a huge advantage. Of course every baby is different. I wish you the best of luck!
