Found a 3 star Hotel via a Priceline bid for only $65. BTW. it's the Menger Hotel adjacent to the Alamo!

Yes, the Drury Hotel is outstanding, but I'll bet you paid almost 2 1/2 times the $65 price I got! Not worth it, for me, to pay over $150 a night when I won't be In the hotel much more than to sleep! Sorry : - (

good luck with that one !
I stay at The Drury,it's right on the river walk but any good place on the river walk will cost you.
Why ? it's right on the river walk,if you go to the basement of the hotel,you be right on the river walk.
They have an AWESOME breakfast, snacks in the afternoon and drinks in the evenings....FREE !
The have a pool in the 9th floor and on the roof with jacuzzi's.

TRAVEL LODGE AT 400 BROADWAY IS ACCEPTABLE AND HALF THE PRICE ANY OTHER HOTEL WITH SUCH A GOOD LOCATION....ABOUT 4 BLOCKS FROM THE RIVERWALK.
