Well first for receiver's you made a very good choice, B&K makes one of if not the best receiver's on the market today. As for speakers, first I would highly recommend going to your local independent hi end audio video store as they carry the better brands of speakers and equipment and will best be able to help you choose the right speakers for how you like to listen and the room it will be used in.

You did not state weather this is going to be used strictly for movie playback or for music as well. I have a article your welcome to read on helping you determine the right type of speakers for your needs.

Speakers are subjective as we all hear differently and the acoustics of the room are different. Take some music and movies and take sometime and go and listen for yourself.

Here are some speakers you might want to give a listen that are very highly regarded in the hi-end audio community that can also work well in a surround system.

Vandersteen: 1c & 2c's have been the buy in hi end loudspeakers for many years.
Magnepan: 1.7 right now considered the best buy in hi quality speakers.

Aerial Acoustic: Make some very musical speakers, as well as additional surround and center channel speakers that all work extremely well in both a music and surround system.

Dali: One of the newer kids on the block that are getting allot of respect and praise.

It is also important to match the electronics to the speakers or vise versa and the B&K will compliment all of these speaker manufacturer's very well.

With care full choice in speakers and speaker positioning you will have a very nice system.

The B&K is absolutely a top of the line unit. I have a B&K Reference 30 Preamp/tuner and it's sound is flawless. Keven L's answer is spot on. The other two answerers who recommended the Yamaha and Dual speakers are, well... I don't use that kind of language but I think you get the drift. Using them with a B&K receiver would be like buying a Lamborghini and putting the wheels and tires from a Kia Rio on it. Personally I'd use something like a set of Martin Logan electrostatics with it but I have never bought a set of speakers, I always build them. I suggest doing what Kevin said. Find a good audio shop and audition some speakers. Emphasis on GOOD. Don't go to the Bose store.
