Which pharaoh? The egyptian religion spanned thousands of years.

Your assigned reading probably has the answers your instructor is looking for. Otherwise I'd say there's Anubis, who weighed the heart of the deceased against Maat's feather of truth to determine if the person had been wicked. If so, it was fed to Ammit, devourer of souls. If not, they went on to the afterlife, where the god Osiris ruled.
