What's with all of these people who have colored exclaimation points as their avi?

It's just that there's a whole bunch of different colored ones, and they seemed to pop out of nowhere o.o what's the significance in that?

@ Lob Bobster: look at pooh bear's avatar. He clearly still has the traditional grey smiley -.-

The default avatar is changing. This is posted by staff on the Suggestion Board:
Hi all,

Yahoo! is in the process of updating the default images across the network. If you haven't chosen an image or if your Pulse is hidden, you'll see on of the five variations of this new image to represent you. The colours are teal, blue, green, orange and purple. It's totally random which one you get and is nothing to do with your gender or activity.

Thanks,
Amanda

They are replacing the gray smiley face for people that do not have a picture or avatar but have not hidden their profile, hidden profiles still have the gray smiley. The colors are random and have no meaning.

do you recognize the way if human beings did no longer have an avatar or a profile photograph that they had a gray smiley face as a photo, they have now replaced it to those pictures. I asked this earlier lol

Sure and why would we all pick the same avatar. It is just a replacement for the old smiley faces. Geeeeez...think about it.

I don't know, but it seems that only the newest members have them. Maybe it's some sort of feature Y!A is trying out to help differentiate the noobs who just created an account to troll with or something.
