A Little Disappointed In Keith Urban.....?

Question

I heard a report that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were shopping at a mall in Nashville when a fan came up to them and asked to take a picture with them. Keith "politely declined" the fan but Nicole said yes and took the picture while Keith chose not to participate. I know artists don't want to be bothered when they are out and about but I think they signed themselves up for it and should be gracious with fans that help them make a living. Do you agree? Or do you think Keith is right in wanting some privacy for his family?

I heard it on my local radio station from Nashville Kat who gives the latest country music news every morning. This fan was a friend of hers. She's a reputable country music news source as far as I know. I was shocked too because that does sound so unlike him. I hope it's not true...

Stars are human too.  They can't shop in empty malls or groceries.  Most people in Nashville give them plenty of space and treat them as everyday people, not stars.  By asking for the photo, it was drawing attention TO them, which they probably don't want.  They like to go to the movies and restaurants just like the rest of us.

I recognise what you imply it was once disappointing to look part of them getting unhealthy feedback. I'm a gigantic Adam Lambert and Kris Allen fan and love paying attention to them each and every week on American Idol. I suppose that each one of them would do plenty higher with their songs. If someone wins on American Idol with the season eventually I wish that it is Kris Allen.
