What is a good video card to upgrade from an ATI RADEON 3800HD for around $100?

I'm thinking of upgrading...any video cards worth paying for yet or should I wait?

for about 100 bucks your best option would be a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150467

I think you may want to consider a 5750 for 130 bucks - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102859

or a 5770 for about 150 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447

these would offer a substantial performance performance boost over the 5670

these are your best options for a mid range graphics upgrade and i really like my 5770 from xfx which is that last one - super easy to overclock to 1ghz with msi afterburner

also you could go with a 4000 series card which gets you a little more power for your money, but will not support DX11.
A good one to get would be a 4850 like this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150482

I would suggest to buy XFX ATI Radeon HD 5670 1 GB DDR5 DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card
Video Card, Installation CD with Multi-Language User Guide
Up to 1 GB GDDR5 memory
ATI Eyefinity technology with support for up to three displays
Windows 7 support
ATI Stream technology

HIS H485FM512H Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16

It performs much better than HD 3870.
