Only 4? Come on... go for 8!

These 8 chords are the first that EVERYBODY learns. Which one's you learn first just depends on what songs your teacher first shows you.

C, G, A, Am, E, Em, D, Dm

With just those 8 chords you can play hundreds, probably thousands, of songs.

Go here to see how to play them:

Idk if u necessarily wanted 2 learn the staff kind of music if so i cant help u there. One way that i learned and still use today is guitar tablature. Its a type of "sheet music" that is possibly the easiest way to learn guitar. It looks like a guitar; the bottom line is the 6th string and the top line is the 1st string and the numbers on each line r the frets u put ur fingers on and you just read it from left to right. Eventually as you learn tabs and play them for a while and get good i would then graduate to chords thats wat i did and m glad i did cuz i wouldn't b in a band if i didnt. If you look up tabs on google it should b the first to show up. The website is called ultimate guitar. Good luck with guitar!!!
