Atheists: How do you all celebrate Thanksgiving?

Next to celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, Thanksgiving is my favorite day to reflect on my blessings on what God willed His Grace on ME and those I LOVE. Of course, everyday being a Christian I celebrate giving THANKS to MY LORD AND SAVIOR.
GOD BLESS YOU! AMEN! SHALOM!

I don't. Especially since thanksgiving is bullsh**. It's the celebration of a massacre.

Around the year of 1637, European pilgrims trapped about 700 Pequot natives, mainly women, the elderly, and children, near the mouth of the Mystic River. They attacked their camp with swords and set fire to everything. Few escaped.
And there they were, gazing upon the burning corpses and streams of blood, and it was a victory, and gave praise to God.
That was the first Thanksgiving.

I am not from the U.S.A so no, I do not celebrate it at all. My country is mostly Christian, I am from Romania.80 percente about of the population here is Christians but am an Atheist. Do you not think I love family too? I am sick of being looked down on and pretending to believe in God because of rejection. Atheists have love to give too, and so this question does not make much sense.

Since Thanksgiving isn't a religious holiday, the same as everyone else does. I spend three days cooking, then my family gets together and eats too much and takes a nap.

What does belief in a Christian version of god have to do with Thanksgiving? One can be thankful for many things without thanking a diety.
