My husband is going to Afghanistan in about a month and I want to send him with a camera. I need a point and shoot camera that takes great quality pictures (also decent video) while being able to withstand the elements especially sand. My price range is around $250. Thanks for the help!!!!

Now, with that price range, if you want a small camera, there's quite a few to choose from. I'll send you to two difference places to do research. This doesn't mean you have to buy here if you don't want to wait for delivery, it's just for research. Look around and good luck to you and your man. Jim

ps, I buy all my gear from these two stores. Very reliable, very honest. I would however stay with Canon or Nikon - the best gear out there. They may not be impervious to sand but I do hope so.
