How can I stop my son from grinding his teeth?

My 3 year old has recently started grinding his teeth in his sleep. I don't know what caused this to start happening but I need it to stop. It makes my skin crawl, I can't stand it, plus it's bad for his teeth. Please give some good suggestions.

Take him to a pediatric dentist. He should have one by now. In an adult they give you a bite guard to wear. I'm not sure what they would do with such a young child, but the dentist should know.
