Billing for Virgin Mobile's Beyond Talk Plan?

I'm interested in Virgin Mobile's $25 a month Beyond Talk Plan, but I am finding confusing information on how exactly you pay for this plan. Do they send you a bill each month or at least some kind of reminder via email?. Do you just go to their web page and pay your bill each month?

I'm finding some references to paying money in advance into an account and then the monthly charge is taken out of that, but I'm not sure I like that idea.

Can someone please explain how exactly you pay for the plan and what your options are?

There are two options for paying, you can use your credit card either to pay each time or have them automatically deduct it from your credit card each month. Option number 2 is to go to a store, most gas stations and stores likeBestBuy, Walmart etc.have top up cards that you can go online to and top up with the code on the back of the card or you can enter the code on your phone. They do send you reminders on both your phone and email. They don't send you a bill in the mail.
