We got my dog in October and noticed he barely shed, however now in the end of December/early January when it's starting to get really cold--NOW he's shedding a bunch! It's not in big clumps or anything and there haven't been any changes in diet. Is he losing his puppy fur or something? He's 8 months so it's his first winter. If you keep him in mostly in the house during winter his puppy coat will start shedding early cause his winter coat is to keep him warm during winter.If its not needed he will lose it early. They are some what like us wont you take our coat off if your hot? Well they kinda do the same if they don't need it they will shed it
