My midterms are in one week, and I want to know the best way to study for them. I'm in 9th grade, and I have been a good student, but I've been slacking a little and wasting time on the computer. My averages were ranging from 94-97, but now are down to 90s. I need to do really well on my midterms because they count as 1/6 of my final average. A good grade is crucial for me to stay on the Dean's List at my school. p.s. I'm nervous because I got an 88 on my math test & it was the last test for the quarter. :c
Thanks for all your help! :)

I know it's not an awful grade, but I tend to be a perfectionist. I usually get 98s and 100s so I was very disappointed. :c
I've tried procrastinating, it doesn't help

I think an 88 is good, but when I study for test, I like to use flash cards. They're so easy to use, and you can bring them with you everywhere, so you can always study the material. Get a good nights rest the night before and eat a really good breakfast the morning of. Studying everything at the last minute isn't the smartest idea, but I am a firm believer in cramming (kinda like reviewing). If you study some throughout the week, then you know most of the material. If you review really well the night before, you should be all set and ready to ace those midterms!
Chances are that your teaches are going to use material that you were tested on before. Even if you got 100 on the test/quiz, look over it anyways, chances are you forgot at least some of the stuff.
Read over old notes, twice.
Sometimes this may make you ore confused 'cause you forgot about a lot of it, in that case mark the pages you don't remember at all, and once you're done reading, go back to those after a few hours and see if you still remember them.
Make flash cards.
For vocabulary in classes like English, science and foreign language class, this really helps. You could look at the cards your self, or you could have a friend show them to you, either way, make sure the cards aren't see through, if they are hold them up in front of a book or folder.
Write, Write, Write.
If you're still having difficulty with vocab words after using flash cards, as a last resort, write the word over and over, eventually it will stick (that's how I study for French).
DO see your teachers if you have any questions!
They are the ones that will be able to help you, they taught it, so the definitely know it.
Study every night until the test, except the last night.
Don't try to cram in a whole bunch of information in one night, you won't remember nearly as much as you would if you did a little bit every few days. The night before, though, just look over your notes quickly to refresh your memory, and then go have fun. By having fun the night before, you'll be less stressed when you take your midterms, and you'll be able to remember everything easier than if you were stressed.
Make SURE you eat breakfast.
I don't know how to tell you how important this really is. If you're hungry during your tests you won't be able to focus well at all, trust me. Bring a snack, like a granola bar, in case you're eating lunch late and have more than one test.
Get PLENTY of sleep.
'Nuff said. You can't take a test if you're falling asleep on it, and you won't be able to focus
