I know once you put Linux on your PS3 that you can use it just like a PC, such as downloading Firefox, Word, Powerpoint, and such, but I play a game called Crossfire(http://crossfire.z8games.com/index2.aspx) and i was wondering if I can download and play Crossfire if i download Linux on my PS3? IF SO, will it be really laggy?

Thats not quite accurate. You can use it just like a PC running Linux, with the limitation that closed source programs are often not ported to it (such as Adobe Flash Player) and programs compiled for x86 processors can't be run except through emulation. This means that there is no practical way to run Windows programs, such as Word, Powerpoint, or your game. Its not impossible in a technical sense; its impossible in the sense that you could measure your gameplay in FPD (Frames Per Day).
Also, PS3s running recent firmware are incapable of running Linux.
