Why does my Graphics Driver keep crashing?

Question

Okay so I play WoW... yeah.

I log into the main capital, take one step, and the game freezes. The screen goes black, and when it reboots everything looks screwed up with the error "Driver stopped responding." I really don't know what to do about this... This happens in some of the new zones too.

I've tried to manually update the drivers a while back, only to be told "No updates available."

I've tried updating them with one of Micro$oft's programs, only to hit a wall due to a "oh hey to find out what you need you have to pay for this."

Am I stuck, or is there a way to fix this?

It's probably either a driver or your video card just can no longer handle the graphics or you need to do a BIOS update. But this link has some good options. Take a look. It gives screenshots of what your video crash looks like, what some possible solutions are, etc. and see if it will help:

Hey I have a similar problem (with AoE)

The best thing to do is google the exact error message and you'll find people with similar cases. If "Driver stopped responding" is the whole message then it is likely that your video card is not good enough for WoW or that the video card or it's driver is glitched. 

What I would do.
1) Reinstall the driver. 
2) Test DirectX on it. (type dxdiag on run)
3) Also check that your video card is compatible with WoW. (view video card specs if you type msinfo32 in run and going to Components-> Display
