medical marijuana plants?

My question is about medical marijuana plants,?
i have indoor plants and they are already budding, but they are small, can i keep letting them grow till summer instead of picking the small buds now. they wont make much so i was wondering if theyll just keep growing if i put them outside when the frost is over, or will they die. pls dont send links cause they really dont answer this question, thanx

Well, if they have just started budding, the buds will likely not be ready for about 8 weeks, and they will grow a fair bit. If you really want bigger buds, what I would suggest is to prune them back a bit to remove most of the bud sites and switch your lighting schedule to 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness. When you are satisfied with the size of the plants you can then switch your light schedule to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness to induce flowering. You could put them outside after the frost is over, and if properly cared for they should survive, but unless you get them back into a vegetative state, which is what you would be doing with the 18/6 light schedule, the shorter days will cause your plant to continue to flower and your yields will not be increased.

Depending on what strain you are growing it takes 8 to 12 weeks in the flower stage. Then your plants are ready to harvest. Give the flowering plants 12 hours light and 12 hours darkness.
Those small buds will become bigger buds when given the proper care.
