How to prepare a wet mount slide with dye?

How do you prepare a wet mount slide from agar out of a petry dish. i also have some fenanzo dye(blue) and some eosin dye(red) both in powder form, how would i mix those to dye the specimen? also the dish was contaminated by mold, so would that mean i wont get to see the bacteria that has also grown?

A wet mount is used for looking at live bacteria. Your dyes may kill your bacteria; dyes are not normally used with a wet mount.

If you do not know the appearance different between a fungal cell and a bacterial cell, then it will be hard to distinguish in a wet mount. If your intention is to view a live bacterium, then I would not rely on the results of a contaminated solution.

A prepared slide is ready to go straight out of the box. It is labeled and perfect and the organism is dead. It is used to show you what a microscopic organism looks like. A wet mount is a slide that you prepare on your own, using a little bit of water to make things easier. The wet mount contains live organisms that were collected from whatever substance your teacher wants you to analyze. You probably don't know what the organism is and will probably have to identify it.
