Fishing Areas: New Orleans?

Hey guys I need some help. I am 14 and have recently become interested in fishing. I live in New Orleans and need some fishing spots you guys may know of. I've tried New Orleans City Park for hours on end and I have even tried the new fishing pier on Rober E. Lee and Marconi but I have yet to get a single fish. I have heard that they are some pretty large bass (3,4, 5 pounders). Just let me know of some fishing spots you guys fish at that are near N.O.

Try checking with a local bait shop, they should know about where you can fish, what bait to use, as well as to what you might be able to catch
