Do you accidentally static shock your dog from time to time?

My dog will be playing on the floor, build up static electricity, then come cuddle on the couch and I'll go to pet her between the ears and it shocks her. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. Do you think it bothers them? Any suggestions on how to prevent it?

~Please, nothing about using collars, that's not at all what I'm talking about.

Haha, all the time! My dogs like to nose me a lot, so that's where I usually get them. It makes my youngest sneeze, but then he always wants to play right after. My oldest just jumps and looks kind of...offended.

whether it incredibly is sufficient to disenchanted him, he will teach it by ability of being visably agitated or he will grow to be afraid of being petted. If it would not hardship you too plenty it incredibly is going to possibly no longer hardship him, in spite of the reality that some canines are greater sensative than others. whether it incredibly is a difficulty, the main suitable element to do is administered a humidifier in the process the dry iciness months. you additionally can desire to the touch some thing else before petting your canines to launch the static improve.

Yes, my Lab mix in particular gets really bad -- she flinches when someone goes to pet her because she hates the feeling of being shocked.

It's worst in the winter; she doesn't have to worry about it in spring/summer/fall. I still feel bad for her - but it's hard to help.
