Need help with a Ukrainian cake.?

I am trying to make Yabluchnyk a Ukrainian cake. I have been looking at several recipes online and every single recipe request 1/3 cup of cream. The problem is there is SOOO many types of cooking cream out there that is good for cakes. There is sour cream, whipping cream, 1/2 and 1/2 cream, etc. Can someone tell me what type of cream the recipe is asking for? Here is a sample recipe.

they refer to the old fashion 100% whole cream..good ole cows cream........

It would refer to whipping cream.
