I keep getting phone calls for someone who does not live here?

I moved several months ago and keep getting phone calls harrasing ones for someone who does not live here. I called and changed my phone number and they started back up again. I tried to *69 the number and it comes up unavailable to talk with a manager . The address they tell me the number is too is not the address I live at so I dont understand why I keep getting the calls. This person even had someone trying to serve a warrent on her. I am at my wits end to get the calls to stop what is my next step?

I know it sounds crazy I thought when I changed the number this would stop. I have tried to talk to the people that call but they just hang up on me which pisses me off . they ask for the same person I think she owns the empty lot of land beside mine . Our names are no where close together to get a confusion. and i can tell these are creditors I also get a lot of phone calls and as soon as you answer they hang up which it really annoying when its many times a day

if you changed your phone number they should have no way to call you again
since if you arent the person they are looking for they should not have been able to get your new number, unless you are listed in the phone directory

if your listed, have your number changed again and make sure it is unlisted this time

This makes no sense. Phone numbers are not based on address, so you simply have the same number as somebody else had in the past. If you CHANGED the number the calls should have stopped, unless they are for a different person.

All you can do is either change numbers again or speak to the person calling and tell them you do not know the person sought. If they are creditors, tell them that you FORMALLY demand that they stop calling and communicate only via mail (which of course will not go to you)

you can get a hold of you local police department, contact you phone provider, or see if a friend is doing it. The only reason is i had a friend do something similar to me i changed my number and gave it to them and it continued

Do you know who it is? have you actually spoke with the person? or have you not answered the calls? there is a website you can go onto where you can search who it is. I tried to email you. I can give you more info when you respond.
