Knitting pattern not even?

I am knitting a lace afghan and have come across the issue of what the pattern says. I have a pattern of 17 stiches to knit into 92 stitches that were cast on. Which is exactly what the pattern said to do! But it comes out that I do the 17 stitch pattern 5.4 times - which is not even!

What do I do?!

Nope! I figured it out, just took some studying :)
Thank you though

Does your project have borders? If you do the repeat 5 times - there are 7 stitches - which may or may not be part of a border. Alternatively, are you possibly reading the repeat pattern incorrectly? 95 is divisible by 19 for a total of 5 repeats. Is there any possibility there should have been increases or decreases that didn't happen? Did you count the cast on immediately following? Is it possible you accidentally added or dropped stitches?

If you would provide a link to the project or write up a copy of the pattern repeat or the lines leading up to your problem it would be easier to help out.

Not sure I was any help at all without further information.

Ah, good you got it figured out. The patterns are checked several times, and are usually correct. You need to read all the directions carefully, and follow them exactly for everything to work out as it should. That's alright... lesson learned, and you won't do this mistake the next time, will you?
