Yes you can! You see the bottom empty socket at the bottom of the DS? Thats were you put it!
You can't play if it's a dsi

You can play it on the original ds or the ds lite, but not the dsi or dsiXL ^ ^

Yes, you can play them both on your DS and DS Lite.
However, you can't on your DSi or any DS after that. (DSiXL, 3DS, and what ever comes next)
