Pain in wrist, thumb, and somewhat palm?

I know I will be visiting my doctor sometime about this since it keeps getting worse, but I wanted to ask here to see if anyone can prepare me for what is wrong with my hand and wrist. Alright so for a few years I've had pain in my wrist and thumb and somewhat palm, the pain is not everyday though. Yesterday is when the pain started and quickly went from a tolerable 3 to a 7 or 8. It hurts to pick things up, push things, hold things, etc. I think the pain increased the most when playing a ps3 game, but I ignored the pain.
Could it be carpel tunnel? My cousin had surgery on both her wrists a year ago for that.

Could be CTS. tap on yor wrist if it shoots to palm, the nerve is inflamed. use ice and brace. If it mainly when you use the wrist prpobably tendinitis or chronic sprain.

properly i'm sorry to assert it yet you need to could desire to bypass to the scientific professional. they'll easily attempt to get an X-ray of your hand/arm. And in case you have become numbness it must be much greater serious.
