Would it only be unlimited calling to other sprint users? Would it work if the other person had virgin mobile and you called would it still be unlimited too?

If you're talking about the $69.99 indivdual plan "Indiv data 450", you can call any Sprint/Nextel user AND any other CELL while on the Sprint network. (must be a US number and calling from the US)
If you're roaming of another carrier's tower, such as Verizon, the minutes will pull from your plan.
