Atheists, what if right after you die you suddenly find yourself zooming through a tunnel and then come out?

Right in front of a huge charcoal grayish wall and you look both ways and it is so long that it fades out both ways. Your kinda above a cloudy bottom that fades to black quickly. Above you fades to black. And there is a huge black gate and your headed toward it. Then you realize you were wrong.

What is the first thing you would say to satan when you see him?

Ok I don't want to hear it will never happen and so on. Because that is like stealing 2 points from Yahoo. I said if that happened. Just pretend, ok? Thank you I just was wondering.

Dude, so what is the real deal? And how to we take down the evil overlord, God?

I think that seems to happen just before people die, not afterwards.

And if it did, I'm not sure what that would have to do with theism.

It would just be another natural phenomenon to explore.

Either that or one might conclude that they'd been frozen at death and uploaded into a computer simulation.

Such an experience would also be very strong evidence that you weren't dead, but hallucinating or something else your brain does.

The "Then you realize you were wrong." part attempts to put the answer you've chosen to your own question into other people's heads.

Taking your hypothetical proposition at face value:

So, ok. let's say I meet "Satan" somehow. I'd say "So, like, you're Satan? How much of what everyone says about you is bogus?"

Note also that Satan isn't God and doesn't claim to have created the universe etc etc., so it would have no bearing on atheism. The fact that there was a Satan wouldn't necessarily imply that there was a God. Just that there's something to all the stories about Satan -- presuming the entity claiming to be Satan wasn't an impostor. Also, since I've read a bunch of stuff by Anton Szandor LaVey, the guy who founded the Satanic Church, I'd know that Satanists think God doesn't exist, that there's no God other than themselves, and that people who believe in God are total wimps.

Y'know, now that I've though about it a bit, this Satan guy you're asking about would probably be pretty interesting to talk with, so maybe I'd actually ask him:

"So. Where's the party?"

If that did happen, I would say that he and the now aparently evident god did a slack job. I mean, they made no move whatsoever to "save" me, something like religion isn't just known, it's all about influence and hearing from someone else.
I would then wonder if I get to hang out with all the people who went to hell, all the intelligent people who I could spend eternity having intelligent conversations with. If not, I would think, well this is all just rather silly, isn't it? I would wonder if I'm in a dream or something, because honestly having a world for bad people is pointless, especially since honestly, the only "bad" thing I did was not believe in God. What if I was a doctor and saved thousands of lives? What if I paid half my wages to third world countries?
How unfair and bias is hell? It's just ridiculous.

First of all... zooming through a tunnel and then come out sounds like i would be pooped into hell lol.

Anyway, i'd say to satan: "Well, if this is real and there is a god and a satan, god really is a prick and i'd never worship him eitherway. For me to be here means that he's much more evil than you satan can be."

Of course, hell is illogical. You may say that i would be presented to satan but then comes the inconsistence. Satan wants people to sin, be evil and do bad things. God sends people to hell for that, but then why would satan punish and torture the people that got to hell? Doesn't it seem more like satan is just a servant of god, since he's supposedly punishing people for disobeying god? Who's the evil character here? God is.

To have any logic whatsoever, satan would welcome sinners with open arms and treat them royally because they have chosen his side. So let me put my own "if" in the story. What if you get to hell and it's a huge barbeque party with beer, pork steaks (so sinful ^_^ ) and hot girls? Why wouldn't i want to go there instead of heaven?

I would wake up and realise I had a really silly dream or get out of the bad smoke.

Sorry can you pretend what would happen when you die and are confronted by zeus and realise you worshipped the wrong god, or just imagine what happens and you find out that dumbledore was the supreme being and you get confronted by voldemort.

Just imagine what would happen then. Do not tell em it can not happen, just pretend.
