How can I get a approved for a simple credit card?

Have you looked at your credit report to see what is on there? Have you purchased your FICO score from myfico.com? Also, when you apply over and over and are denied, that kills your score and hurts your report. It makes you look desperate to lenders and they don't want to touch you with a 10 foot pole! When you have applied for all these cards, you should have gotten a rejection letter in the mail telling you exactly *why* they denied you at this time. That would be your first place to look. Most people just ignore the letters or throw them away thinking they are junk mail.

The first thing to do is STOP applying. It is apparent you are not going to get a credit card. Second thing is to not bother being jealous of any kids who are walking around with credit cards. They will be walking around with huge bills or a collection agency or 2 after them in a few years if they aren't using their credit wisely.

Since you have been declined, you may have to get a secured card to start. After about 18 to 24 mos you may be able to convert it to an unsecured card and get your deposit back. At that time, you may also be able to qualify for some credit cards....Show more
