TIVO Basic (Toshiba RS-TX unit) and Satellite (Dish or direct) how does it work?
I have classic cable feeding 4 TV's, Our cable company is slowly removing All Analog channels.
For the price we pay for classic cable we could order Satellite (Dish or Direct) get a larger and better selection of channels, PLUS an Interactive TV guide. Digital cable with the minibox does not provide
an interactive guide, if you want an interactive guide, and or
more channels, you are renting a new Cable box @ $15 a month.
We have 1 RS-TX60 and 2 RS-TX20 (s) which while hooked up to cable
do provide a 3 day interactive guide with no fee's and of course the abililty to record, and pause live tv, etc.
with Tivo Basic.
Does anyone have Dish Network, or Direct TV with the RS-TX20 or RS-TX60 ?
what are your experiences?
if you purchase the local channels through Dish or Direct does it show on the Dish or Direct guide?
does it show on the Tivo guide?
@ this point I am open to any suggestions, I also noticed for a 4 TV Set with Dish would take only 2 receivers
and I found out that they do have an TV2toIR adapter, which means theoretically the multiple Tivo's would be able
to change the channels of either TV1 or TV2
Please anyone with experience with The RS-TX20 or RS-TX60 and Satellite (Dish or Direct)
please respond with your experiences and suggestions.
