Switching from breastmilk to formula for my 6 month old?

I have been exclusively pumping for 6 months and I am starting to decrease my production....not looking for advice on how to increase I have tried everything. Also with working full time and only pumping (my daughter has reflux and nursing directly from me makes it worse, does better on a bottle with a little rice cereal & her Zantac meds)

She is going to be on Enfamil AR for her reflux...

My question is....how do I transition her to formula and myself from pumping to make it as easy as possible on the both of us....

Thank You

hi sweetie, i think you have answered your own question, if its better for baby then do it, not all at once as it will make your breast painful for a while but for a week try bottles every other feed or top up the feed with a small bottle, or even night feeds on the breast, but every other one is better as the breast will be fuller for the feeding, you've given the baby the absolute best start in life you cannot do more...good luck hunxx

I would do 1 week of every bottle 75% bm and 25% formula.

Then 1 week of every bottle 50% bm and 50% formula.

Then 1 week of every bottle 25% bm and 75% formula.

Then go to 100% formula.

That will be easiest on baby for taste and digestion, and the gradual decrease of bm should work for you also.

do it 1 meal a day and make bedtime the last breastfeeding you give up.
