What do employers do with my drivers abstract?

Okay, I just got offered a job as an auto detailing position at this small auto detailing business in my city but before I start, they want a copy of my drivers abstract. What will they be doing with it? Will they submit my drivers abstract to their insurance company or will they just personally review it?

okay, they will probably look it over to see if you can be trusted driving customers cars.. okay. If you really and truly must know what they will do with it, I suggest you ask them because I doubt that anyone here knows for sure....okay
