What country do you think has the most neglected literature?

We all know about England, France, Russia and The United States and the amazing literature they've produced, but what about all the other countries out there? what county do you think is ignored and deserves more attention?

I personally think Japan deserves more attention for all of its great writers like Yukio Mishima, Yasunari Kawabata, Junichiro Tanizaki, Kobo Abe, Osamu Dazai, Natsume Soseki, Ryunosuke Akutagawa, Eiji Yoshikawa, Kafu Nagai, Lady Murasaki Shikibu, Ihara Saikaku, Matsuo Basho, Kenzaburo Ōe, Shusaku Endo, Shohei Ooka, Masuji Ibuse, Naoya Shiga, Kyoka Izumi, Kunikida Doppo, and Mori Ōgai.

Chances are you've only heard of one or two if any of these writers and that's a shame because they are all great writers who can hold there own against any of France's, England's, America's or Russia's writers.

So i was wondering what other nation is a diamond in the rough?

I personally believe China. There are the "four great classics": Dream of the Red Chamber, Journey to the West, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Outlaws of the Marsh. Then there are the poets Li Bai and Tu Fu, the play The Peony Pavilion, and the philosophical text Tao Te Ching, too many great works to list.

In some parts of the world these works are highly regarded, but in the US I've hardly seen them mentioned. :(

I also love India's epics though. =^.^=
