QB conspiracies, are you a believer?
Here are two conspiracies for you, do you believe any of these could happen?
#1 - The Bengals make a secret agreement with Carson Palmer that makes it possible for the franchise to trade him without sending the message to other players in the organization that if they hold out for a trade it will be granted, the idea is this. The Bengals release/trade(if possible) Chad Ochocinco. Right after Carson Palmer announces that he will still play football. The media will then assume that the reason for Palmer retiring was Chad Ochocinco, as his announcement that he would retire also came the same day where the Bengals announced that they wanted Chad back for another season. When Carson then comes back the Bengals announce that they want to trade him now, and after he is traded Marvin Lewis can tell the media the trade was made because the Bengals no longer trusted in Palmer because he had turned his back on the club. Thereby making it possible for them to trade Palmer, without opening for other unhappy players to leave the same way.
#2 - Before Andrew Luck decided not to declare for the draft Jim Harbough told him not to declare because if he did not declare in time he could then when the lockout is lifted come back and sign up for the supplemental draft. In the supplemental draft. In the supplemental draft all the teams with six or fewer wins picks count the same. Therefore the 49ers hold the highest value pick, as they had 6 or fewer wins. In the supplemental draft they would then be able to put a first rounder on Luck, If they did not obtain the pick they could trade for it and steal Luck away. They would then have to next year forfeit their first rounder, which could be 20 picks lower then were luck would originally have gone. When they then get luck a previously made agreement between Luck and the 49ers means that Luck will get a contract similar to the first pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Could any of these possibly happen. And do you have any other ideas for conspiracies?
