Hey people, please answer this question about magic mushrooms?

I dont know anything about magic mushrooms but i heard they dilate pupils(i'd like this to happen for cosmetic reasons) so are they available on the market and are they edible? is it possible to safely dilate the pupil of your eye without having the bad effects of it(hallucination, or going crazy, or whatever) if i dont overdose???

how can i safely take it just to get the effect i want? is it possible???

They used to use belladonna for that purpose. The name comes from beautiful woman in Italian. They used to give it to women to make their pupils dilate. Belladonna is one of the nightshades like tomatoes that get their name from the pupil dilating effects of atropine which is found in many nightshades. Tomatoes apparently contain solanine and not much atropine.

It has atropine in it and that is a seriously dangerous toxin that dilates the pupils. It might be safer if you could get the appropriate amount. . The people long ago probably were very careful and knowledgeable how to get the dosage correct. Just eating a few berries or a bite of jimsom could kill you so I am certainly not suggesting you eat them. I doubt you would notice much dilation from mushrooms and they would be safer at least from an acute toxicity perspective. Hallucinating might have other hazards like making you act foolish. Atropine is an antidote to nerve agents and we used to have to carry an injector around with us in the army. It is also an antidote to some poisonous plants like wolfbane.
